I have had an obsession with daily photo blogs from around the world for awhile. I used to wake up every Sunday morning and immediately go to my google reader to admire the beautiful photography of others and their themes. Unfortunately with my schedule changes my once relaxing Sunday mornings have disappeared. Now I check in a few times a week when I have time instead of making it a morning ritual. I particularly enjoy looking at places I would like to travel to in the future but mostly I do it so I can continue my love affair with a particular city from afar.
The capital of the world. The city so nice, they named it twice. The city that never sleeps. New York City. I cannot say enough things about the great state of New York. I don't have a life list but if I had one I would make #1 to visit New York once every year rotating seasons until I am unable to travel any longer. Then I would make #2 to move to New York once I could no longer travel. I guess you are now asking why I don't live there, huh? Not because I wouldn't want to. I was dealt a different set of cards in life and New York hasn't been in my path yet I assume. Although I truly believe that my love is stemmed because in another life I was there for all it's glory. I guess fear now holds me back from taking that leap and relocating. Fear and things I can't leave behind yet.
The city of New York is enigmatic. From the the moment I crossed over Queensboro into the City for the first time I knew the hype was real. I love the people in NYC and I love the feeling which is NYC. The people of New York love their city so I imagine that I am not alone in saying that Billy Joel was right that New York IS a state of mind. I often want to burst into song as Jenna Maroney of 30 Rock did and sing it a cappella to shock all those around. Back to blogging, when I found several bloggers who posted photos of different parts of the city daily I was the happiest person in the world. Why would I need multiple blogs of the same city? First of all, women love things in multiples. Proof, shoes and orgasms. Always preferred in multiples. Secondly, who wouldn't want several alternating views of NYC daily? I have to say that with each photo I fall deeper in love. There were several post this week that made my heart swell. I don't want to post them due to copyright issues but I will link you to a few.
